In Sharjah, Sharjah Charity International has launched its Ramadan initiative “Bouquet of Goodness” for the second year, encouraging Dh100 donations to support humanitarian projects such as family aid, orphan care, medical treatment, and iftar meals.Mohammed bin Nassar said the initiative aims to make charitable giving accessible while benefiting thousands locally and internationally.
Sharjah: For the second year in a row, Sharjah Charity International has launched its Ramadan initiative, “Bouquet of Goodness,” encouraging the public to contribute Dh100 toward a variety of humanitarian and charitable programmes across the UAE and internationally.
The donations support the relief of distress programme, which assists individuals experiencing financial difficulties, helping them regain stability and reunite with their families. Orphan sponsorship programmes provide essential support such as food, clothing, and education, ensuring a secure and dignified future for children.
Funds also contribute to patient treatment sponsorships, covering medical costs for chronic illnesses and urgent surgeries. In addition, the Eid clothing project supplies new garments to children from underprivileged families, bringing happiness during the festive season.
Contributions further support endowment initiatives that create sustainable resources for humanitarian work. Donations are also used to print and distribute copies of the Holy Quran, build mosques in underserved communities, and drill water wells to provide access to clean drinking water in areas facing scarcity.
The Iftar meals programme provides daily meals for fasting individuals in need, promoting values of compassion and social solidarity throughout the holy month.
Mohammed bin Nassar, Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Sharjah Charity International, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to making charitable giving accessible and sustainable.
“A monthly Dh100 contribution allows donors to help ease the hardships of those in need, supporting thousands of beneficiaries locally and internationally,” he said.
The organisation has invited the public to participate by sending “bouquet” via SMS to 6215, visiting its official website, calling 80014, or using its mobile application to donate and choose preferred projects.
