July 11, 2025 – Dubai, UAE: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has officially launched a new Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (BScAI). This program is designed to train students in the fast-growing field of AI and help the UAE reach its goal of becoming a global leader in artificial intelligence.
Offered by CUD’s School of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology, the degree combines strong academic knowledge with hands-on technical training to prepare students for real-world careers in AI.
What Students Will Learn
The BScAI program starts with core courses in mathematics and computer science, then moves into advanced topics such as:
- Machine learning
- Neural networks
- Intelligent systems
- Computer vision
- Natural language processing (NLP)
- Autonomous decision-making
In addition to technical skills, students will develop soft skills and ethical awareness through classes in:
- Ethical AI
- Communication
- Entrepreneurship
This approach helps students become well-rounded professionals who can not only build AI systems, but also understand their social and business impact.

Students can choose elective courses in specialized areas such as:

The program includes a real-world internship and a final-year AI project, giving students the chance to apply what they’ve learned before graduating.
Supporting the UAE’s National AI Goals
This new program supports the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to make the UAE a global center for AI innovation. CUD’s BScAI is expected to help develop the next generation of AI talent for jobs in both public and private sectors.
