Dubai is gearing up for a major summer sports spectacle as Dubai Sports World (DSW) launches its special August Edition 2025, running from August 3 to September 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Organised in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, the event will span over 25,000 square metres and offer more than 40 indoor courts and pitches.
Sports and fitness enthusiasts in Dubai are in for a treat this summer as Dubai Sports World (DSW), the region’s largest indoor sports and fitness destination, unveils its highly anticipated August Edition. Running from August 3 to September 2, 2025, this special edition promises a month-long celebration of physical activity, friendly competition, and family fun — all under one fully air-conditioned roof.
Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), this year’s edition is set to offer an action-packed experience for athletes and amateurs alike. Spanning over 25,000 square metres inside the DWTC halls, the venue will be open daily from 8 AM to midnight, transforming into a buzzing hub for sporting activities.

The 2025 August Edition brings back a wide range of sports including badminton, basketball, cricket, football, padel, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, and the increasingly popular pickleball. With over 40 courts and pitches, the facility is designed to cater to individuals, families, and teams of all skill levels. The infrastructure is top-notch, with cutting-edge amenities to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
One of the standout features returning this season is DSW’s free open-access gym. Equipped with the latest cardio machines, functional training rigs, and strength training zones, the gym allows visitors to maintain their fitness routines or start new ones in a world-class environment — all without an entry fee.
Parents can now enjoy their workouts while their children are kept entertained and active in the enhanced Dubai Kids World. This dedicated area includes multi-story inflatable slides, soft play obstacle courses, and retro arcade game zones, offering a safe and supervised environment for children to play, socialize, and stay physically engaged.
The setup is designed with family convenience in mind, allowing adults to participate in their preferred activities while knowing their children are enjoying themselves in a secure and fun-filled space.
Kicking off the month’s programming in grand style is DSW Run IN — Dubai’s first-ever indoor half marathon, set to take place on the opening day, Sunday, August 3. Held entirely within a climate-controlled indoor venue, the event promises a unique running experience. Participants will benefit from professional timing systems, cheering zones, and a scenic course that winds through the expansive halls of DWTC. The half marathon marks a milestone in Dubai’s sporting calendar, showcasing innovation and inclusivity even during the hottest month of the year.
Later in the month, on Saturday, August 23, DSW will host the DSW Summer League — a competitive inter-company tournament where corporate teams from across the UAE come together for high-energy games. The league emphasizes team-building, sportsmanship, and wellness in the workplace, making it one of the most anticipated events for businesses and their employees.
In addition to open-access facilities and large-scale events, the August Edition continues to serve as a launchpad for future athletes. With nine sports academies offering world-class coaching, aspiring players can take advantage of expert-led training programs across various disciplines.
From beginners to advanced learners, individuals of all age groups can register for academy sessions, court bookings, and fitness classes via the Dubai Sports World app, which features real-time slot tracking and QR code check-ins for a smooth and modern experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, emphasized the importance of DSW as a community-driven initiative.
“Dubai Sports World has become one of the most prominent and important fitness events on the city’s summer calendar. It encourages residents and visitors to stay active, maintain their health, and enjoy social interactions over the break — all of which contribute to a better quality of life,” said Hareb.
