Rechel’s story began in Oriental Mindoro, a province in the Philippines where she grew up with big dreams and a humble background. In 2022, after the heartbreaking loss of her father during the COVID-19 pandemic, she made the bold decision to move to Dubai in search of better opportunities. Like many overseas Filipino workers, Rechel took up work in the hospitality sector, becoming a hostess at a restaurant in Jumeirah.

One day, Rechel and her brother decided to post a light-hearted video on TikTok, featuring her playing with a trending Filipino toy, Lato-Lato.
