HCT and Saal.ai Join Hands to Train Emirati Students in AI and Big Data

The Higher Colleges of Technology has partnered with Saal.ai to train Emirati students in AI and big data using the UAE-built DigiXT platform. This move supports the UAE's vision for a digital, knowledge-based economy and aligns with the National AI Strategy 2031 and the UAE’s push to teach AI from school to university levels.

The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), the largest higher education institution in the UAE, has formed a new partnership with Saal.ai, a UAE-based cognitive technology company that operates under the Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG). This agreement is an important step towards preparing Emirati students for the future by giving them the skills needed to succeed in artificial intelligence (AI) and big data.

The official signing of the agreement took place at the HCT campus, marking a strong commitment from both sides to invest in the development of local talent. This collaboration supports the UAE’s vision of becoming a knowledge-based economy, where education and technology work hand-in-hand to create a better future.

One of the key parts of this partnership is the introduction of DigiXT, an enterprise-level AI and big data platform developed in the UAE by Saal.ai. This platform will be directly added into HCT’s academic programs. Through this, students will not only learn theory but also get hands-on experience with real AI tools and data technologies. This approach helps them understand how AI is used in real life and makes their learning more practical.

By learning through DigiXT, students will build useful skills that improve their chances of finding good jobs. At the same time, companies in the UAE will benefit from having access to well-trained graduates who know how to use advanced technologies. This creates a win-win situation for both students and the business world.

Dr. Faisal Alayyan, President and CEO of HCT, said that this partnership is a big step forward in the way students are educated. He explained that by adding AI into their lessons, HCT is giving Emirati youth the right tools to succeed in the digital world. He also mentioned that students will gain not only technical knowledge but also the ability to think in creative and smart ways. This will help them become leaders who can solve problems and support the country’s growth.

Vikraman Poduval, CEO of Saal.ai, also shared his thoughts. He said that Saal.ai believes in the power of technology to make life better for everyone. By working with HCT and helping students learn real AI skills, Saal.ai is helping to bring new ideas to life and support the UAE’s goal of building a smart and sustainable economy.

This project is also a part of HCT’s wider plan for the years 2023 to 2028. The college wants to focus on applied learning, working closely with industry partners, and creating graduates who are ready for the future. The goal is to offer education that is not only high in quality but also useful in the real world. HCT wants its students to be prepared for jobs in an economy that is always changing and becoming more digital.

The partnership between HCT and Saal.ai also supports larger national goals. It matches the UAE’s National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to make the UAE a world leader in AI. The plan includes using AI in many sectors like education, energy, transport, space, and technology.

As part of this national effort, the UAE will soon start teaching AI in all government schools—from kindergarten to Grade 12—starting from the next school year. This shows the country’s strong belief in preparing young people early for the digital world.

This new collaboration between HCT and Saal.ai is a clear example of how the UAE is investing in its people, its students, and its future. By bringing together education and technology, the country is taking big steps towards a smarter tomorrow.
