Newly released video footage from the House Oversight Committee has shed fresh light on closed-door depositions given by Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton regarding their past connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The footage, spanning more than nine hours, captures tense exchanges, conspiracy theory references and pointed questions about photographs and past associations. Neither Hillary nor Bill Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing by Epstein’s victims, but Bill Clinton’s name appears in investigative files related to Epstein, prompting calls for their testimony.

One of the most dramatic scenes unfolded when Hillary Clinton was informed that a photo from inside the deposition room had been leaked. Visibly frustrated, she said she was “done” if confidentiality rules were not being respected and warned lawmakers they could hold her in contempt if they wished.
Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert acknowledged sharing a photo taken before the hearing began, which later circulated on social media. Clinton’s legal team criticised the leak as unprofessional and unfair, emphasising that she had initially requested an open hearing - a request that was denied.
The deposition resumed after a brief pause, but tensions remained high as Clinton’s lawyers pressed for adherence to agreed procedures.
Several hours into the testimony, Boebert raised questions about “Pizzagate,” a widely debunked conspiracy theory alleging a paedophilia ring linked to Clinton associates. Hillary Clinton dismissed the claim as entirely fabricated and harmful, expressing disbelief that it was being referenced during the hearing.
In another unusual exchange, Congressman Eric Burlison shifted the focus to UFO disclosures. He referenced past efforts during Bill Clinton’s presidency to declassify government files on unidentified flying objects and asked whether Hillary Clinton supported their release. She responded that she favoured transparency, saying information should be disclosed whenever possible.
During his deposition, Bill Clinton was asked about conversations with Donald Trump regarding Epstein. Clinton recalled a discussion at a golf course fundraiser in the early 2000s, stating that Trump described a falling-out with Epstein over a real estate deal. According to Clinton, Trump did not imply any improper conduct in their conversation.
Clinton also faced questions about a hot tub photograph released by the US Justice Department. The image, taken during a trip to Brunei, shows him in a hotel hot tub alongside an unidentified individual. Clinton said he did not recall the photo being taken and denied any inappropriate activity, stating he had briefly used the pool before retiring for the night.
Bill Clinton was further asked whether Trump should consider pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking offences tied to Epstein. Clinton declined to comment on clemency decisions but described Maxwell’s actions as terrible and deserving of punishment.
In his opening remarks, Clinton maintained he was only a brief acquaintance of Epstein and had no knowledge of his crimes. He expressed sympathy for the victims and said he hoped the investigation would help prevent similar abuses in the future.
The release of the video testimony adds new visibility to the questioning process, revealing moments of tension, political sparring and firm denials from both Clintons regarding prior knowledge of Epstein’s criminal conduct.
