According to a report by The Independent, the women pictured alongside the renowned scientist were his long-term carers from the United Kingdom. Hawking’s name appears multiple times in documents released by the US Department of Justice as part of broader disclosures related to Epstein’s case. The files include references to an allegation made by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, who claimed that Hawking had taken part in an underage gathering in the Virgin Islands.
Epstein strongly denied the claim. According to the documents, he discussed offering a reward for evidence to counter the allegation in email exchanges with his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell was later convicted in connection with her role in Epstein’s trafficking operation.
