Iran has reported the highest number of casualties, with 787 people killed. Among them were 165 schoolgirls and staff who died in a missile strike on a primary school in Minab in southern Iran on the first day of fighting. The figures were provided by the Iranian Red Crescent Society. It remains unclear whether members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are included in the reported toll.
In Israel, authorities confirmed 10 civilian deaths. Nine of those fatalities occurred during an Iranian missile strike on Beit Shemesh near Jerusalem on March 1, according to the national ambulance service, Magen David Adom. The Israel Defense Forces has stated that no military personnel have been killed so far.
Lebanon’s health ministry reported 50 deaths resulting from Israeli airstrikes on its territory.
Elsewhere in the Gulf region, Bahrain confirmed one fatality after a fire broke out in Salman Industrial City following a missile interception. Kuwait reported three deaths, including two soldiers, attributed to Iranian attacks. Oman confirmed one casualty after a projectile struck the Marshall Islands–flagged tanker MKD VYOM off the coast of Muscat.
The United Arab Emirates reported three deaths, according to its defence ministry.
Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command confirmed that six American service members were killed in a strike on a facility in Kuwait.
