Football Meets Future Tech: Casillas Unveils Hisense’s 116-Inch TV Wonder

Hisense launched its new 116-inch UX TV in Dubai, with football star Iker Casillas at the event. The TV uses advanced MiniLED and color technology to give a clearer, brighter picture. It’s designed to bring a stadium-like feel into your home. The launch shows Hisense’s focus on new technology and love for sports.

Hisense, a global name in consumer electronics, made a big splash this weekend by launching its latest and biggest TV yet—a 116-inch UX model with new RGB MiniLED technology. The event took place at the Hisense Arena in the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, and was made even more special by the presence of football legend Iker Casillas.

Casillas, known as one of the greatest goalkeepers in football history, helped reveal the TV in front of a cheering crowd. His appearance added excitement to the event, which was a celebration of Hisense’s continued push for innovation and quality in the world of home entertainment.

A New Era of TV Technology

The new 116-inch UX TV stands out for its size and technology. It uses something called RGB 3D colour control, a system that allows the TV to control both light and colour very precisely. This means viewers can enjoy brighter images, deeper colours, and better contrast.

The TV also features the most powerful Hisense AI processor and an advanced RGB MiniLED backlight chip. This combination helps the screen show incredibly sharp and colourful images while using less energy.

According to Hisense, this new model is designed to change how people watch TV at home, bringing a cinematic or stadium-like feel right into the living room.

Football and Technology Come Together

Speaking at the event, Iker Casillas said, “Technology is now a big part of how fans enjoy football. Whether you're in a stadium or at home, the way you watch the game matters. It’s amazing to see companies like Hisense making it possible to feel so close to the action.”

Casillas also spent time with fans, answered questions, and even hosted a few fun activities during the launch event. His presence connected the world of sports with the world of tech in a meaningful way.

Hisense's Big Vision

Jason Ou, President of Hisense Middle East and Africa, welcomed Casillas and spoke about the company’s goals. “At Hisense, we want to bring people closer to the sports they love. Our work with the FIFA Club World Cup and Real Madrid shows how serious we are about that. This new 116-inch TV is proof of our promise to deliver the best viewing experience possible.”

Before the launch, Casillas was given a private tour of Hisense’s Research and Development (R&D) centre in Dubai. There, he got a closer look at the brand’s work on smart home products and next-generation display technologies.

Leading the Market

Hisense is already a leader in the big-screen TV market. Research group Omdia reports that Hisense held a 56.7% share of the global market for TVs that are 100 inches or larger during 2023, 2024, and the first quarter of 2025. This new launch is expected to strengthen that position even further.

The company says its mission is to bring the energy of live stadiums into people’s homes, making every football match or movie feel more real and exciting.

A Bright Future for Home Entertainment

With this new 116-inch TV, Hisense is showing the world what the future of home entertainment looks like—bigger screens, smarter features, and better quality.

And by teaming up with sports stars like Casillas and major tournaments like the FIFA Club World Cup, Hisense is making sure fans don’t just watch the game—they feel it.
